From the Crocodile Bay Lodge, Puerto Jiménez

by Todd Staley, Fishing Director

October 4, 2002
Our last customers left yesterday as we spit polish the place the month of October to reopen November 1st. Dave Stanley and Bob Wicks fished 2 1/2 days and spent a half day hiking in the jungle. Day one brought a 240 lb blue marlin while they raised 3 more that did not care to eat. This happened under a small log as the marlin teamed up to corral a school of small tuna. They added a 35 lb dorado which went very nicely with garlic and butter. Day two was the day for a tug-o-war. They landed and released a 250 lb yellowfin tuna in just over two hours and boated an 80 pounder to eat. Roosterfish kept them busy on the half day. Most were around 30 lbs.
