About Manuel Antonio and Quepos
When you get to Quepos, Manuel Antonio is not far away. Quepos is the harbour town with a plaza, church and schools. Here are the banks, stores and it is one of the few beach towns in Costa Rica that offer a full infrastructure. The Hotels actually are situated at a 7 km long road winding road up and down a mountain with the resorts and spas left and right until reaching the Beach and Costa Rica 's famous Manuel Antonio National Park. There are only few Beach-front Accommodations as for instance the Hotel Karahé with direct access to the beach or the Hotel Villabosque about 200 m from the beach and the entrance to the National Park. There are beautiful boutique vacation resorts with some kind of almost a private beach like the Hotel Tulemar, but you'll have to drive or walk 15 minutes from your villa to get to it. The mayor attractions of most hotels here are their breathtaking views from where some of the most incredible sunsets of Costa Rica can bee seen. Make your reservation well ahead of time!
Despite the big number of rooms available in this area and the slightly higher prices, because of higher construction costs and utilities, it is always the first place where you cannot find any rooms during high season in December and January. Manuel Antonio and Quepos are not only famous in Costa Rica because of its beautiful white sand beaches and National Park, also Sport Fishing or Deep Sea Fishing and other Water Sports and Nature Adventures are in big demand here.
