Under a deep shaded porch
Here you'll find the dining area where they serve excellent home-style meals cooked over a wood burning stove or open grill. I personally had a delicious vegetarian dish while the rest of the family enjoyed the typical "carne en salsa". You will not be disappointed. Many of the vegetables are hand picked daily from the garden. The own cows produce fresh milk and homemade cheeses.
The "platos tipicos" are prepared from local Costa Rican recipes with beef, pork, chicken, fish, beans and rice. The fresh-squeezed orange juice and lemonade is made with fruits from their private grove of 750 citrus trees. Under the same porch wrapping around the lodge you'll find a fireplace, rocking chairs and hammocks, a quiet place to cool off, nap, read and relax while watching the river flow.
