Latest developments concerning the politics Casa Roland Boutique Hotels
As of May 25th 2006, Don Robert Roland Bogdonavich , President of this Chain has been awarded by several Institutions in the Southern Town of Golfito, Puntarenas for his long years of giving support towards Environmental Education, sustainable Tourism and Conservation of Natural Resources.
The award was given to him by the Director of Minae in Golfito, the Director of the Technical University of Golfito and the Chamber of Tourism , during a visit to the yearly " Trash Pick Up" locally organized, with the help of many people involved, a project that Don Robert has been supporting for several years.
The thoughts behind helping each chosen destination to return to their real heritage is, to create a new kind of Tourism in the country, which for him means "a happy client in a happy place", and for this country it may mean to support Costa Ricans, in order to find solutions for social issues and future planning of how to combine Tourism and it's pro and contra, as well as the effects of the same.
In regards of this thought, Don Robert decided 2 years ago to physically install an office under his supervision and donation, in order to have a Chamber of Tourism for this destination, donate a fairly big amount of property held by him towards MINAE in order to be placed under conservation of Rainforest and now will be planning and introducing his newest project, besides the hotels that are in building process: "The Avalon" and the "Roland's Sports Marina Resort", this new project being entirely directed towards a problem seldom mentioned but consistently exciting:
Children growing up without having the opportunity to get to know their father or mother in a non- stress and natural ambiance away from society and being placed back into Nature.
This project is mainly laid out for the Costa Rican population, even though it is an international issue; our chain is donating a property with a volume of 135 acres of Rainforest and waterfront in order to create a campsite for the young and old to get together by a bonfire and relate to one another.
The main idea is to install campsites with tensile structures, a main building containing a small restaurant with additional simple accommodations on the second floor and to create other activities on the compound such as kayaking, skateboarding, greenhouses and areas of reforestation.
This project once build will be placed under the administration of local Government agencies. We would like to activate the kids of Costa Rica to help us design this project and participate with their ideas in forms of drawings, writings or opinions of what they think is necessary to have.
