Itinerary:

  • Day 1 - You'll get picked up at the International Airport or your Hotel and taken to the Palenque Tonjide, the indigenous reserve of the Maleku near Guatuso in the province of Alajuela. Accommodation in the cabins on the reserve.

  • Day 2 - After breakfast you'll be taken by a Maleku Guide to Wildlife Reserve Caño Negro. One of the richest in waterfowl. After the tour you'll be going back to the reserve.

  • Day 3 - After breakfast you'll be taken by a Maleku Guide to the Río Celeste Thermal waters tour. There you can take a swim. After the tour you'll be going back to the reserve.

  • Day 4 - After breakfast you'll be taken by a Maleku Guide to the Arenal Lake for the Kayaking Tour. After the tour you'll be going back to the reserve.

  • Day 5 - After breakfast you'll be taken by a Maleku Guide to the Forest on the reserve. There you will learn about medical plants, an Indian cemetery and much more. After the tour you can participate in an indigenous ceremony performed in their palenque. After that you will be picked up by a bus and taken back to your hotel or the airport.
