This is a pretty wild tour
When I took the pictures of this tour I went on a horse with my camera. There were two spots I could take pictures. The ride to the river took almost an hour. When I finally arrived at a spot called 'la culebra' (the snake) I had to wait almost an hour until the first participants arrived. I am sure that it was the adrenalin that kept these people warm during all this time.
My son Ivan (picture on top on the very left, on a blue tube, or below on the right with the two legs in the air) took the underwater camera along, but the lens fogged up pretty fast because of the temperature differences (cold water and warm air). So the only pictures that more of less came out, are the numbers 5, 6 and 7 of the picture gallery.
On the funny side: I met a very pale and nervous participant from India that could not swim at the end of the tour. He must have forgotten that he had a live-west on. My personal recommendation for this crazy tour is that you should at least know how to swim, you should feel comfortable (not scared) with water, close your mouth when you're under water and it helps if you're not too overweight. I personally would keep the shoes on.
