Hot Mud, Hot Rides, Hot Water and Hot Baths
Tis a pretty hot tour. You start at the Hotel Guanacaste where you'll get picked up. The scenic drive will take you first to the hornillos and boiling mud-holes of the Miravalles Volcano.
From there you can choose to take a horse or sit on a wagon pulled by a tractor up the volcano. At the end of the road you'll leave the horses or tractor and walk to the waterfalls and the crater of the volcano. Bring a good rain-coat. When we participated we got surprised by pretty heavy rain half way up and all way down.
Back where your started your horse-ride you'll get lunch and after that an application of volcanic mud. A bath in the hot-springs will wash that mud back off. Now you should have a skin like a new-born. Change into your regular cloth.
From there you'll drive on to the Miravalles Canopy Tour. On the way there you'll stop at a well known art-gallery, and wood-shop where they produce and show beautiful pieces of wood-craft and other sculptures. After the zip-ride on cables through the canopy you'll be driven back to Liberia.
