The Perfect Tour for Beginners

Casa Maquinas Class II-III is the perfect tour for beginners. The 12 miles river ride lasts two hours, the minimum age is ten years. The tour will start between 6.00 AM and 7.00 AM when a comfortable minibus will pick you up at a metropolitan area hotel. On the way to the colonial city of Cartago, you will be able to observe the church called La Basilica de Nuestra Señora de los Angeles. Soon you will arrive in Paraíso, where youc can enjoy a typical breakfast at the Sanchirí Restaurant.

Paquare River Tres Equis

You'll have to get up early for this tour. The tour starts between 6.00 AM and 7.00 AM, when comfortable minibuses will pick you up at your hotel in the metropolitan area. You will enjoy a delicious typical breakfast in the restaurant Sarchirí located in Paraíso, Province of Cartago. From there you can enjoy an incredible view over the Valley of Orosi.

After breakfast you will continue to the town called Tres Equis, Turrialba, where our specialized guides are going to be expecting us with all the necessary equipment for our adventure. Every participant will receive a helmet, a paddle and a life jacket. A guide will give you security instructions and a demonstration before letting you go into the water rafts called Huacas, Cimarrones and Dos Montañas just to mention a few.

Pacuare Class III - IV Linda Vista

This tour starts at Linda Vista of Siquirres and you'll come out at El Cairo de Siquirres in Limón. The ride is 16 miles long and takes about 2 hours. This section is recommended for people with experience and excellent physical conditions, that like to have the adrenalin go through their veins. Here you will enjoy class IV rapids called Horrendito, Patas Arriba, Mar del Norte etc.

Paquare, the best river in the world to practice Rafting

Pacuare is not only considered the most beautiful river in the world but also the best to practice rafting. It offers beautiful views, waterfalls, cascades, and a huge diversity of flora and fauna. You can experiment different levels of difficulty up to level IV. The extension is of 18 miles and the raft lasts about three and a half hours. The minimum age for participation is 12 years old.

Depending on the weather, there will be a pick nick at the bank of the river or lunch in a restaurant in Siquirres. In Siquirres you can change the outfit for the way home.
