A unique and unforgettable experience
The creation of the Aerial Tram in the forests was born by the dreams and the necessities of a scientist to reach the treetops and the canopies of the the forests for investigations. Here lots of plant species and animals still live unknown and undiscovered by man. Hidden and far, in this strange and intact world, the beauty and biological diversity is extraordinary.
The Aerial Tram in the rainforest is the only place on earth, where the visitors fly over the canopy of the rainforest and are able to see the most complete ecological communities of life on earth. The fascinating air excursion permits to experience life as it occurs in the most exotic hanging gardens of nature.
During the ride of 90 minutes in a quiet gondola you'll be touching the forest flying over the giant trees and a naturalist guide will tell the visitors about ecology and why the preservation of forests are so important for our future. The possible fauna that can be seen during the ride are the white faces Capuchin monkey, bears, anteaters, vipers, and dozens of tropical bird species. This is one of the most complete forests in Costa Rica.
The Aerial Tram of the forest is situated at the edge of the Braulio Carrillo Nation Park and has a common border of 10 km with it. The entrance is at the highway to the Caribbean coast at only 50 minutes from San José about 5 kilometers after the bridge over the river "Río Sucio".
All visitors can experience life in the canopies of the rainforest with its evolution and discovering its natural history. Many of the plants and insects that live there are still unknown to the scientific world.
