History
The area was first colonized by Brunca Indians and then by Spanish. The arrival of the banana industry increased development. The canton is named alter the River Corredores.
General Description
Corredores is drained by the rivers Colorado, Corredor, Abrojo, Conte and Vaca. Principal economic activites include African palm oil, bananas, cacao, rice, corn, beans, sorghum and beef.
Interesting Sites
Tourist attractions include the indigenous communites of Abrojos de Montezuma and part of the Conte Burica.

Temperatures range between 26 and 28 Degrees Celcius.
