Costa Rica is still a country of vast opportunites
Since agricultural is still the a major form of national output, the production of other goods is still just taking off. And there are many business incentives as well. Many foreigners have experienced great success with tourist projects, especially those related to ecotourism. Many hotels are being built, bought and managed by foreigners. And tourism is the most important source of foreign currency. The Gross National Output is made up of services (58%), industry (26%), and agriculture (16%).
One reason for the success of foreign and national investors in developing new products and in opening new markets is because education relatively advanced (certainly compared to the rest of the region). English is spoken widely and the Ticos are eager to learn.
