Identification:

Male is very small bluish black bird with yellow forehead and yellow throat, chest, and belly; female is greenish olive with yellowish throat, greenish yellow chest, whitish belly; 10 cm (4in). (Eufonia Gorgiamarilla).

Habitat:

Low and middle elevations, northern Pacific slope; found in tree canopy in drier areas in trees along waterways, and in wetter areas, in semi-open sites such as forest edges, clearings, tree plantations.

Found in the following Parks:

Caño Negro National Wildlife Refuge.
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve (Fotos).
Palo Verde National Park.
Rincón de La Vieja National Park.
Santa Rosa Nacional Park.
