Mid-sized light-, dark-, or grayish brown deer with white belly, white undertail, and, often, white chin / throat; males with branched antlers; 1to 1.8m (3 to 6ft) long; about 1m (3.3ft) high at shoulders. (Venado Cola Blanca, Venado).
Low, middle, and higher elevation forest edge areas and more open areas, Caribbean and Pacific slopes; active day or night.
