Large squirrel wilh longish fur; body color highly variable, some blackish, some yellowish gray; tail is black / white 'grizzled'; about 22 to 33cm (9 to 13in), plus long, bushy tail. (Ardilla, Chisa).
Low and some mid-elevation forest edge and more open sites, especially in drier areas, Caribbean and Pacific slopes; in trees and on the ground.
