TVery small greenish olive bird; male with brownish belly and yellow forehead; female with yellowish olive belly and reddish brown forehead; 9.5cm (3.75in). (Eufonia Olivácea, Monjito).


Low and some middle elevations, Caribbean slope; found in tree canopy in forest interior and more open sites such as forest edges, tree plantations, and along rivers and streams.

Braulio Carrillo National Park.
Cahuita National Park.
Caño Negro National Wildlife Refuge.
La Selva Biological Reserve.
Rincón de La Vieja National Park.
Tortuguero National Park.
