Identification:

Large brown bird with black head, chest; yellow-edged tail; large black bill with orange tip; blue patch under eye; to 50cm (20in); male larger than female. (Oropéndolade Montezuma, Oropéndola).

Habitat:

Low and some middle elevations. Caribbean slope; found in tree canopy in forest interior and in more open areas such as forest edges, clearings, tree plantations.

Found in the following Parks:

Braulio Carrillo National Park.
Cahuita National Park.
Caño Negro National Wildlife Refuge.
La Selva Biological Reserve.
Rincón de La Vieja National Park.
Tortuguero National Park.
