Large, mostly black bird with yellow lace and chest; yellowish green skin around eye; large bill, yellow above, dark maroon or reddish brown below; to 56cm (22in). (Tucán de Swainson, Dios-te-dé).
Low and some middle elevation wet forests, Caribbean and southern Pacific slopes; found in tree canopy in more open habitats such as forest edges, tree plantations.
