Identification:
Large black bird with featherless black head and neck; whitish legs; underside of wing in flight shows a whitish area near wing tip; wings held flat out during soaring flight; to 66cm (26in); wingspan to 1.4m (4.8ft). (Zopilote Negro, Zopilote).
Habitat:
Found countrywide, usually below 2000m (6500ft); usually spotted in the air, circling above villages, towns, garbage dumps, other open areas.
