Identification:

Large blackish bird with blue lace and red legs; to 60 cm (2 ft). (Pava Negra, Granadera).

Habitat:

Higher elevation forests, Caribbean and Pacific slopes; found in trees walking along branches or on ground.

Found in the following Parks:

Arenal Volcano National Park.
Braulio Carrillo National Park.
Irazú Volcano National Park.
La Amistad National Park.
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve (Fotos).
Poás Volcano National Park.
Rincón de La Vieja National Park.
