Identification:

Small olive-green bird with yellowish head and chest; black lace; grayish belly; short, thick, black bill; to 18cm (7in). (Picogrueso Carinegro).

Habitat:

Low and some middle elevation wet forests, Caribbean slope; found in tree canopy in forest interior and more open sites such as forest edges, clearings, tree plantations.

Found in the following Parks:

Braulio Carrillo National Park.
Cahuita National Park.
La Selva Biological Reserve.
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve (Fotos).
Rincón de La Vieja National Park.
Tortuguero National Park.
