Identification:
Male is smallish orange bird with black head and wings, black tail edged with orange; female is orangish olive with blackish wings and pale orange chest / belly;18cm (7 in). (Bolsero Norteño).
Habitat:
Low, middle, and some higher elevations, Caribbean and Pacific slopes; found in tree canopy and shrubs in semi-open sites such as forest edges, tree plantations, gardens, arboretums. This species is a nonbreeding seasonal migrant.
