Chapter VII

Building A Body Free From Disease And Premature Old Age

Of all times, the proper time to adopt the natural live food diet is after the fast. In as much as during the fast the body has been purified and the digestive organs have contracted and more or less returned to their normal size and position it is now very easy to adapt the body to the natural food of man --- to unfired (uncooked, heated) fruits, vegetables and nuts, rich in vitamins, organic mineral salts and amino-acids, containing in right proportion and combination the requisite elements for the construction of new vital cells with which to build a new vital body resistant to disease and capable of preserving a high degree of vigour and activity to the end of a long useful life.

Those who have tried to adapt themselves to the unfired diet with little or no success will be surprised to know that after proper fasting the body is easily and promptly adapted to the digestion of uncooked fruits, vegetables and nuts. And they will be doubly surprised when they see that they are now able to gain weight at the rate of about one-half to one pound of healthy weight per day on the same diet of uncooked food, which, before the fast, caused them to lose weight rapidly at first. This is so because the natural foods of man are eliminators as well as builders. When the body is saturated with waste products natural uncooked foods act as eliminators. When the body has been cleansed thru fasting or by other natural means uncooked foods act as builders of healthy tissue.

Therefore, it is of paramount importance to adopt the unfired diet of man's natural food after the fast. This is so for two reasons: (1) Because the unfired diet of natural food will supply the body with living cells, without which it is not possible to build firm, youth-preserving tissue; and (2) because the unfired food diet will no longer cause enlargement and dilation of the digestive organs.
