Playa Hermosa offers a very strong and consistent beach break that sticks out into the Pacific, assuring constant swell. You will be rarely surfing under head high here. It can get perfect sometimes, delivering a nice barrel, but at other times you might see the barrelling waves all over the place, but have trouble finding that perfect wave for yourself. Hermosa is a several miles long stretch of beach where one can surf anywhere but there are a few distinct areas people usually surf, still here you will find on any given day a long stretch of peaks. The preferred sand bar is located in front of a large tree known as Almendro. You'll find the best wave conditions when the tide is rising. At the Hotel Terraza del Pacífico, exists the possibility to surf at night with an illuminated beach.
