Playas del Coco of Bahís der Coco near the Gulf of Papagayo is the town with the largest infrastructure in this area. Besides shops, restaurants, casinos and markets, you'll find all kind of hotels and cabins from simple to deluxe. The scenery consists of the horseshoe-shaped Coco Bay and steep hills and cliffs. It is a good place to have fun. The view from the Bay includes Pelonas Islands, Cacique Point to the northwest and Centinela Point. Its main attractions are the tourist facilities and the sun, which shines longer and more brightly here than anywhere else in Costa Rica. Other attractions are the nearby beaches of Hermosa, Ocotal and Panamá. The Playas de Coco Beach is easy accessible from Liberia - Sardinal - Playas del Coco (35 km).
